KaCrole Higgins was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020. “In May 2020, I found a lump in my breast. I cried. By June, it was diagnosed as breast cancer, triple positive, stage 1A. While getting this cancer diagnosis was devastating, it also became an opportunity. Suddenly, the cancer gave me clarity. It gave me clarity about what was important, what was good in my life, what was toxic in my life, and what I needed to do.” Click below to read more of KaCrole’s story

If Landon Ryan had been diagnosed with bilateral retinoblastoma 10, 20 or 30 years ago, she might not be here today with nearly perfect vision. Thanks to recent improvements in the treatment for this rare form of cancer that almost exclusively affects children under the age of 5, the diagnosis had the power to change Landon’s life when she was 11 months old, but not to take it — or her eyesight. Gravity Versus Vacuum Based Indwelling Tunneled Pleural Drainage System

Lung

Malignant pleural effusion remains a debilitating complication of end stage cancer, which can be greatly improved by the introduction of the indwelling tunneled pleural catheter (IPC). However, there is no standard of care regarding drainage and limited data on the utility of different drainage techniques. In addition, many patients develop discomfort and chest pain during drainage. The investigators propose to evaluate gravity drainage and suction drainage on quality of life measures and outcomes.

Surgical Debulking Prior to Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy in Well Differentiated Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors

Multiple Cancer Types

This phase IV trial evaluates how well giving standard of care (SOC) peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) after SOC surgical removal of as much tumor as possible (debulking surgery) works in treating patients with grade 1 or 2, somatostatin receptor (SSTR) positive, gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs) that have spread from where they first started (primary site) to the liver (hepatic metastasis). Lutetium Lu 177 dotatate is a radioactive drug that uses targeted radiation to kill tumor cells. Lutetium Lu 177 dotatate includes a radioactive form (an isotope) of the element called lutetium. This radioactive isotope (Lu-177) is attached to a molecule called dotatate. On the surface of GEP-NET tumor cells, a receptor called a somatostatin receptor binds to dotatate. When this binding occurs, the lutetium Lu 177 dotatate drug then enters somatostatin receptor-positive tumor cells, and radiation emitted by Lu-177 helps kill the cells. Giving lutetium Lu 177 dotatate after surgical debulking may better treat patients with grade 1/2 GEP-NETs

Expanded Access Protocol (EAP) for Participants Receiving Idecabtagene Vicleucel That is Nonconforming for Commercial Release

Multiple Myeloma

This study is designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of nonconforming idecabtagene vicleucel (ide-cel) in participants with multiple myeloma per the approved prescribing information. This is an expanded access protocol (EAP) to be conducted at Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies (REMS) qualified sites approved for commercial administration of idecabtagene vicleucel and where the EAP is authorized to be conducted for use of nonconforming idecabtagene vicleucel.

Non-conforming idecabtagene vicluecel is idecabtagene vicleucel that does not meet commercial release specifications but may be acceptable for use as an investigational product in the Expanded Access Protocol setting.

Expanded Access Program (EAP) for Ciltacabtagene Autoleucel (Cilta-Cel) Out-of-Specification (OOS) in Participants With Multiple Myeloma

Multiple Myeloma

The purpose of this expanded access program (EAP) is to provide ciltacabtagene autoleucel (cilta-cel) that does not meet the commercial release specifications of CARVYKTI and is not available via the local health care system in the country where the treatment is requested.

A Study to Compare Two Surgical Procedures in Individuals With BRCA1 Mutations to Assess Reduced Risk of Ovarian Cancer

Ovarian

This clinical trial evaluates how well two surgical procedures (bilateral salpingectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy) work in reducing the risk of ovarian cancer for individuals with BRCA1 mutations. Bilateral salpingectomy involves the surgical removal of fallopian tubes, and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy involves the surgical removal of both the fallopian tubes and ovaries. This study may help doctors determine if the two surgical procedures are nearly the same for ovarian cancer risk reduction for women with BRCA1 mutations.

Window Trial of Fluorescently Labeled Nivolumab-IRDye800 (Nivo800) in High Grade Glioma (HGG)

Multiple Cancer Types

High-grade gliomas (HGGs) are among the most aggressive and treatment-resistant brain tumors. Immunotherapy with checkpoint inhibitors like nivolumab has shown promise, but its efficacy remains variable and poorly understood in this patient population. This clinical trial investigates a novel imaging-enabled formulation of nivolumab-IRDye800 (nivo800) which incorporates a near-infrared (NIR) fluorescent dye to enable real-time visualization of drug distribution within tumor tissue.
