Profile
Dr. Hawkins is currently an Associate Professor at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he specializes in Colon & Rectal Surgery. He completed a two-year Cabot Fellowship at the Brigham and Women’s Center for Surgery and Public Health funded by a T32 training grant and a Masters in Public Health Degree (Quantitative Methods Concentration) at the Harvard School of Public Health, and hasresearch interests in Colon & Rectal Surgery outcomes, health service research, and global surgery and multiple first author publications in these areas. Dr. Hawkins's current projects include NIH funded research on patient centered outcomes and decision making in benign colorectal disease, specifically diverticulitis.
