I am a staff scientist in the Kamran Idrees research group where my research is focused on characterizing the immunological environment of colorectal cancer metastases to identify novel biomarkers of disease progression and targetable molecules for immunotherapy applications. I have a broad background in immunology with specific training in immunophenotyping of primary cells in complex organ microenvironments. As a trainee, I expanded the research toolkit to include next-generation sequencing technologies and developed the computational pipelines necessary to analyze large single-cell datasets. As a result, I have worked collaboratively with research groups at multiple universities as a bioinformatics expert and continue to develop computational tools for discovery using multi-modal data (e.g. single-cell and spatial transcriptomics, genomics, epigenomics, immune receptor profiling). I also have extensive experience in project management and contributed to over 50 independent projects as a core facility staff bioinformatics analyst from 2022-2023. In this role, I was dedicated to communication, including reporting of analyzed data, developing realistic project budgets and timelines, and preparing reproducible data analysis and secure storage pipelines.
